Nitel Question Far From Resolved

The future of Nigerian telecoms incumbent Nitel remains unclear, despite the official end on February 16 2010 of the final bidding round in the latest attempt to privatise the operator. An official inquiry into the auction and winning bidder, New Generation Telecom, was launched by Nigeria's acting president, Goodluck Jonathon, but has been delayed until a new cabinet is formed and can appoint an investigating committee. BMI thus thinks it is too early to know what will happen to Nitel.
