TI Secures Contract To Deploy Wi-Fi Hotspots

News: Italian telecoms operator Telecom Italia (TI) has signed a contract for the deployment of Wi-Fi hotspots along Frecciarossa, the high-speed train service in Italy, reports cellular-news. The operator, in association with railway network operator Rete Ferroviaria Italiana, will deploy Wi-Fi infrastructure along the 900km-long high-speed rail track between Turin and Naples. The operator will start the work in April 2010 and expects to complete the deployment by the end of 2010.
