DT Looks To Increase Stake In Serbian Incumbent
March 2010 | Company News AlertThe Serbian government intends to sell 30% plus one share in its fixed-line incumbent, Telekom Srbija (TS), to Deutsche Telekom (DT), according to Telegeography, citing local weekly Nedeljne Informativne Novine (NIN). The preliminary agreement is reported to have been confirmed during a visit by the Serbian president, Boris Tadic, to Berlin in March 2010. BMI believes the reduction of the government's stake in the operator bodes well for the competitive environment in Serbia's telecoms market.
