Mobile Spectrum Reissue Plans Set Out

Stephen Conroy, the minister for broadband, communications and the digital economy, has given Australia's wireless spectrum holders the first insight into the government's plans on the renewal of public wireless services licences. Operators whose networks and services are judged to be covering 'significant numbers of consumers' or whose networks are capable of providing services to such consumers will be invited to renew their licences, but will have to justify their entitlement to do so.
