Yoigo To Keep Competing

Spain's newest and smallest operator Yoigo hopes to gain spectrum in the 900MHz band in order to expand its mobile services. The operator, owned by Swedish incumbent TeliaSonera, hopes to gain the frequencies through the refarming of frequencies in the 900MHz band. Regulator CMT was expected to reach a decision on refarming spectrum in January 2010, but postponed the decision mid-month.
