SKT, KT Up WiBro Investments On Regulatory Incentives

South Korea's largest and most influential telecommunications operators, KT Corporation and SK Telecom, have unveiled plans to massively increase investment in services and networks based on the indigenously developed WiBro wireless broadband standard, reports the Korea Times. Between them, the companies will invest KRW1.5trn (US$1.3bn) in expanding coverage of their existing WiBro platforms over the two years to the end of 2011.
