IPTV Set To See Strong Growth

Colombia's Pay-TV and Satellite Operators Association (TVPC) has announced that half of its 34 members have applied for IPTV licences from the Ministry of Information Technology and Communication (MinTIC). Colombian telecoms operators have greeted IPTV with enthusiasm, matched by rapid take-up in subscriptions. The strong interest in licences indicates that the technology may become dominant in the country's pay-TV sector.
