Omantel Releases Strong End Of Year Results

State-owned incumbent operator Omantel has published postitive end-of-year results, amid news of several new initiatives to fight off competition and possibly increase the value of the business ahead of a renewed privatisation drive. Overall, the results show that the fourth quarter was the star quarter for 2009, and that profits increased by 5% year-on-year (y-o-y) in the year as a whole.
