DiGi Plans US$29mn Broadband Expansion In Perak And Sarawak

Malaysian fixed and mobile operator DiGi Telecommunications plans to invest (MYR100mn) US$29mn in extending the reach of its Turbo 3G HSPA platform and mobile internet services in the states of Perak and Sarawak over the next three years. Currently, services are offered in Ipoh and Kuching only, but the company aims to launch in Taiping, Kamunting and Kampar in Perak and Miri in Sarawak before the end of 2010.
