MTC Reopens Fourth Licence Process
February 2010 | Industry Trends And DevelopmentsFollowing earlier attempts to auction spectrum for a new mobile operator, Peru's Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) has announced that it hopes to end the process in Q110. The licence, known as Band C, was supposed to have been awarded in September 2009, but the two prequalifying bidders did not enter 'economic' bids. The MTC seems convinced that, this time around, the spectre of the financial crisis will not be a factor in decision making.
