NTT DoCoMo Plans To Sell iPad SIMs
February 2010 | Company News AlertNTT DoCoMo is said to be looking to sell network-free SIM cards for the Apple iPad when the new tablet-format mobile computer goes on sale in Japan later in 2010. Apple aims to begin selling the Wi-Fi-based version of the device in Japan by March; the 3G-enabled version will follow in April or May, so NTT DoCoMo needs to move quickly if it is to trump rival SoftBank Mobile, which is currently the exclusive Japanese distributor of the Apple iPhone.
