Spectrum Licensing Muddle Forces Out WiMAX Players

Concern is growing among Cambodia's wireless broadband licensees that errors made by the government in assigning wireless spectrum in the 2.5-2.7GHz range may force out two or more existing players in the country's nascent broadband market. The discovery was made in January 2010 when the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications awarded Star Digital TV a licence to use a large parcel of frequencies already being exploited by wireless internet providers.
