Colombia's Mobile Market Stalls

Colombia's mobile market grew by a measly 1.2mn subscribers in 2009 according to the Ministry of Industry and Commerce as the fourth quarter saw yet another round of subscriber losses. While the data only refers to the number of active subscribers in the market, it marks a particularly bad year for operators in Colombia's mobile market following several years of very strong growth. Strategies may now be revised moving into 2010 to return to stronger increases.
