Weakening Market Position Sees Telefónica Return To Promotions

Spanish fixed-line incumbent Telefónica has relaunched some of its most competitive tariffs in the Spanish broadband market after seeing its hold on the market slip, reports Expansión. Monthly data from regulator CMT shows that the company's net additions declined sharply in November 2009, putting further downward pressure on its market share. Competition from Jazztel and Vodafone in particular have brought about this change in strategy.
