CAMTEL Expects To Complete Backbone On Time

Representatives from the Cameroonian incumbent CAMTEL have made a statement to the effect that work on the national fibre-optic backbone is progressing on schedule and should be completed on schedule, reports AllAfrica. This is very positive news. However, the report also indicates that the project was only launched in December 2009, so it has not had a great deal of time to go wrong or get off schedule as yet.
