Philippines To Issue Fifth 3G Licence

The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) of the Philippines has decided to tender the country's last remaining 3G licence this year, amid increasing demand for the spare frequencies to be allocated to a commercial player. The formal bidding guidelines have yet to be drawn up, but local reports suggest that existing 3G players might be allowed to bid.
