Bangladesh To Auction 3G Licences By Year End

The Bangladesh Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has announced plans to auction 3G spectrum licences by the end of 2010. Reportedly, four blocks of spectrum are to be sold via an open auction, and UK-based Vodafone is one of an unspecified number of international players not already active in the country to have expressed interest in bidding.
