At the end of 2008, in the middle of the credit crunch, operators were still confident about their investment plans for 2009. For the most part, operators have seen strong investment in 2009 lead to continued strong growth across markets. However, almost all mobile markets are seeing fatigue set in while fixed-line services are at the point of starting to decline, leaving fewer opportunities for growth in Latin American telecoms markets, leading to different focuses for operators moving forwards.
