Ambitious Spending Plans From Telefónica

Spanish telecoms incumbent Telefónica is set to spend ARS2.1bn (US$552mn, EUR386mn) on its operations in Argentina in 2010. The operator will focus on expanding its network roll-outs to 'connect more Argentineans', according to Spain's Expansión. The investment will be around 30% more than seen in 2009, says Telefónica de Argentina (TASA) President Eduardo Caride.
