Dutch Fibre Expansion Planned

Dutch incumbent KPN has said it aims to connect 1.3mn homes to its fibre-optic network by the end of 2012. The operator will roll out its fibre network through a combination of fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) and fibre-to-the-curb (FTTC) with the aim of having 600,000-800,000 active subscribers by the end of 2012, around 10% of households.
