Can Canada Hold More Mobile Operators

Nadir Mohamed, the CEO of Rogers Communications, has said that the Canadian mobile market cannot 'sustain' four national operators. The country's existing mobile network operators (MNOs) total five, but this figure is set to increase to nine as four new operators, mostly regional, enter the market. Mohamed's comments come as the Canadian regulator overturned a ruling that prevented WIND, a joint venture between Globalive and Orascom Telecom, from launching services.
