Telmex Speeds Up

Cable operator Telmex, a unit of Mexico's Telmex Internacional, has announced that 20Mbps broadband services will be launched in 40 cities across the country. The company states it will 'break the speed barriers' that currently exist in the internet market, expanding its existing triple-play services. The company has consolidated its position in the Colombian market, putting it in fourth place in the internet subscriber market.
