Grameen Foundation Providing Rural Farmers With Valuable Information

The Grameen Foundation has announced that it is expanding its Community Knowledge Worker (CKW) initiative in Uganda, with the help of a US$4.7mn grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Grameen's CKW initiative is one of several that are springing up across Africa designed to help broaden the benefits to society of the mobile revolution, and help stimulate economic development and improve people's lives through the application of communications technology.
