Etisalat Chairman Gives Advice For Regulators

Mohammad Omran, chairman of UAE incumbent and international telecoms group Etisalat, has stressed the importance of flexibility in telecoms regulation to ensure future growth in the sector, based on this company's experience in 17 markets around the world. While taking part in the ITU Telecoms World conference in Geneva, in a session called 'Regulating in times of crisis', Omran made clear the essential role he feels regulators have to play in helping maintain investment in telecoms during the downturn and recovery, reports Zawya.
