Estonia Boasts High Internet Rates

Internet prevalence across Estonia is growing, largely due to households with children and two or more adults, according to a study by Statistics Estonia. At the end of Q109, 63% of Estonian households had access to the internet, up from 54.8% and 52.9% in 2008 and 2007, respectively. The country, which joined the EU in 2004, already leads the way among its EU peers when it comes to internet access, which its parliament has declared to be a basic human right.
