Axtel To Enter Pay-TV Market

The largest alternative fixed-line operator in Mexico, Axtel, has been awarded a concession to offer direct-to-home (DTH) satellite services. This will enable the company to begin offering triple-play services as it bundles its new pay-TV operations with existing voice and broadband products. Axtel had previously offered triple-play services through a joint billing agreement with cable operator Cablemás.
