Backhaul Network Could Stand Alone

Botswana's government is planning to exclude fibre-optic backbone and their backhaul services from the upcoming privatisation of the Botswana Telecommunications Corporation (BTC). According to AllAfrica, the plan was originally floated by the minister for communication, science and technology, and eventually accepted by the government. BTC is currently looking for an equity partner and will sell a considerable stake once one has been approved.
