The privatisation of the Telecommunications Company of Iran (TCI) now has an official schedule and is moving ahead, reports Press TV. The privatisation has been talked of for over two years, and many international telecoms companies have expressed interest, although some have already been scared away by the somewhat unpredictable business environment in Iran. With the financial climate still less than friendly, potential investors may be thinner on the ground than they might have been, but given the strong position of TCI, and the potential in the Iranian telecoms market, there should still be considerable interest.
