Pilot Project Kicks Off Contactless Payments

Brazil has taken another step towards mobile payment (m-payment) services with a pilot project taking place in the capital Brasília and largest city São Paulo, writes TeleTime. Visanet, the technology arm of payment service Visa, announced the launch of the Visa payWave service for contactless payments using a mobile handset. Other such projects have been launched in several different markets across the world although there have been no obvious success stories.
