Telenor Pakistan Could Spend US$2.5bn On 3G

Pakistan's second-ranked mobile operator Telenor Pakistan has commenced upgrading its network to 3G, despite the Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA) yet to launch a 3G licence auction. A study into the deployment of a 3G network upgrade is being carried out by a third-party operator on behalf of Telenor Pakistan, according to Pro Pakistani, which will be conducted over a two-year period.
