ETB Eyes Triple-Play Options With IPTV

Municipal telecoms operator Empresa de Telecomunicaciones de Bogotá (ETB) has received authorisation from the Ministry of Communications to provide IPTV services, reports TeleSemana. The company first announced its IPTV plans in December 2007 and initial expectations had been for a Q308 launch. However, the company did not manage to gain a licence from the broadcasting regulator CNTV after it applied in August 2008, alongside fellow municipal operator Emcali.
