Zain Could Be Preparing For Decisive Change

The intrigue and uncertainty surrounding Zain, one of the Middle East and Africa's biggest telecoms players, show little sign of abating. The latest development in this saga came in an announcement from the company on August 16 2009 saying that it would shortly ask shareholders to vote to remove ownership restrictions that at the moment make the sale of a significant stake to a new shareholder nearly impossible.
