Rural Focus Grows In Latin America

Data from operators across the telecoms spectrum have showed significant slowdowns in the number of subscribers being added to the market. While 2007, and to a lesser extent 2008, showed exceptionally strong growth there are signs that 2009 will not live up to expectations. For operators now the key is finding the next areas of growth for their services in order to maintain their revenues. The avenue that seems to be open to most is targeting rural subscribers.
