Chile's Open Regulations Welcomes IPTV

Multiservice telecoms operator GTD is looking to launch IPTV services over its fibre-optic network. GTD already offers digital TV services with its broadband and fixed-line products, and the company has a licence to offer mobile services as an MVNO, although it is still yet to launch. While there are issues for GTD to address if it wishes to launch IPTV in Chile, it does not have to contend with a difficult regulatory scene unlike many of its regional peers.
