Televisa Looking To Expand Its Telecoms Operations

Mexican broadcaster Televisa has said it is interested in acquiring spectrum to offer mobile services in Mexico, according to Reuters. The company is also understood to be interested in the upcoming sale of access to the state power company's fibre-optic network and has previously said it would be interested in acquiring WiMAX spectrum in order to expand its broadband services, setting the operator up to be a serious contender in the Mexican telecoms market.
