Four 3.9G Licences To Be Awarded By Mid-2009
May 2009 | Industry NewsThe licensing of four operators to provide 3.9G services over long-term evolution (LTE) platforms will mark the first time that the Japanese market is united over its choice of technology. Until now, the main three operators NTT DoCoMo, KDDI and Softbank Mobile, which combined retain a 95% market share, have operated on differing networks.
