EU Court Rules Against French Operators
April 2009 | Company News AlertThe EU Court of Justice has ruled against both France Telecom (FT) and Bouygues Telecom is two separate appeal hearings, reports Reuters. In the case of France Telecom, the court has upheld a fine of EUR10.35mn (US$13.7mn) that was applied to the French incumbent for anti-competitive behaviour in the broadband market. Bouygues was pursuing an ongoing bid to overturn a decision that allowed French authorities to retrospectively alter the terms of France's original 3G auction in 2001.
