M1 Joins Rank In Offering NFC Trial

Singaporean third-ranked mobile operator M1 has become the last of the country's three operators to announce trials of its mobile payment services based on near field communication (NFC). The operator is partnering with Citibank and Visa, with services due to start in May 2009. Rivals SingTel and StarHub had both conducted their pilots in September and October 2007, respectively.
