Regulator Commits To Subsidised Broadband Roll Out

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) is almost ready to begin deployment in the first phase of its national broadband campaign, reports AllAfrica. The national regulator is subsidising the project that will see broadband services rolled out to all of Nigeria's 36 state capitals by the end of 2009. The second phase will be to extend the service to all council headquarters in smaller provincial towns.
