Lattelecom To Operate DTT Platform

According to BroadbandTVnews Latvian incumbent Lattelecom has been awarded a licence to operate the country's digital terrestrial television (DTT) platform. Lattelecom had faced competition for the DTT licence from the likes of DauTKom and Latvian Radio and TV Centre. MPEG-4 based services are due to be launched in 2011.
