Etisalat Reveals Subscriber Figures

Egypt's third-ranked operator, Etisalat Misr, has revealed that it reached 7mn subscribers at the end of 2008, reports MEED. The operator, in common with other subsidiaries of the UAE telecoms incumbent, Etisalat, does not regularly report subscriber figures, nor does it present its financial data separately from that of the parent company. This new information, therefore, is very helpful in trying to build up an accurate picture of the Egyptian mobile market.
