IPTV Not Taking Off For Portugal Telecom

Portugal Telecom had a total of 300,000 subscribers for its Meo pay-TV service in Q308, reports IPTVnews. The service was reported to have 211,000 subscribers at the end of September 2007, so the new figures suggest only 89,000 net additions over a year, which seems a very disappointing result for the company. The IPTV service was launched in Q207, to great interest, but appears to be struggling to achieve a substantial customer base.
