Telecoms Industry Tries To Keep Its Head Above Water
December 2008 | Industry NewsThe Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (POTRAZ) has licensed 3G and VoIP services, reports the Zimbabwe Chronicle. The regulator has said that it is amending existing licences to allow the country's operators to offer new services based on 3G and VoIP technology. Meanwhile, the beleaguered country's sole fixed-line operator, TelOne, has reportedly revealed that it is planning to turn to 3G to supplement its ailing network.
