Alcatel-Lucent Looks To Indian And Chinese Growth
November 2008 | Company News AlertFranco-US telecoms equipment supplier Alcatel-Lucent will look to India and China to help restore profitability, after the company reported its seventh straight quarter of losses. The company's Q308 results showed a smaller loss than in Q307, down to a EUR40mn (US$50.6) loss, from EUR345mn in Q307. At the same time new CEO Ben Verwaayen, former head of UK's BT Group, said the company would look to restructure, with a plan to be announced in December.
