DirecTV Brings Prepay To Peru
November 2008 | Company News AlertPeru's second largest pay-TV operator, DirecTV, has launched a prepay service following a four-month trial. DirecTV's general manager, Orlando Parodi, highlighted the fact that problems in accessing payment systems in Peru can make it complicated for subscribers to pay for services they have used. However, customers can now pay for their DirecTV services in advance through NavSat, BrightStar and the Banco de Crédito del Perú (BCP), according to local news source El Comercio. DirecTV hopes that the new payment method will enable it to gain a 25% share of the market.
