PTK To Be Privatised

The Kosovo government has declared that the privatisation of Kosovo Post and Telecom (PTK) and its mobile subsidiary Vala is to begin. A government commission will be formed to launch a tender for an international consultancy, which will then advise the government on its options and plan the privatisation strategy. Kosovo's government has valued PTK at around EUR700-800mn. Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi has signalled that the funds raised through the privatisation will be invested in infrastructural projects in Kosovo.
