Batelco Ready For Foreign Acquisitions

Batelco, Bahrain's incumbent operator and telecoms market leader, has confirmed that it has set aside a US$2bn fund for foreign acquisitions, but is taking a cautious approach, according to Trade Arabia. The company has identified India and Africa as areas that still have huge growth potential and has been in talks with companies in both, but is holding back for the moment as it is yet to find an attractive acquisition at the right price.
