MTN Plans Ambitious Expansion

The chief executive of international mobile operator MTN has revealed the extent of the company's expansion ambitions to the Financial Times. Phuthuma Nhleko has said that the South African company is looking for further acquisitions in the next two to three years in order to realise its aim of becoming the leading mobile operator in emerging markets. This statement comes after MTN's failed attempt to merge with Reliance Communcations, India's second largest mobile operator.
