Sony Ericsson Launches Rival Music Service
September 2008 | Product LaunchMobile handset manufacturer, Sony Ericsson, has announced its plans to offer an unlimited music download service with Norway's Telenor set to become the first company to offer the service, through its Swedish operations, by the end of the year. Sony Ericsson, a joint venture (JV) between Japan's Sony and Sweden's Ericsson, has struggled of late, issuing two profit warnings so far in 2008. However, the company is not the first to offer the unlimited download service after mobile manufacturing market leader Nokia announced its own service, Comes With Music, that will be launched first in the UK on October 2 2008.
