Kazakhtelecom Continues NGN Expansion

Fixed-line incumbent Kazakhtelecom has announced the completion of its next-generation network (NGN) expansion in the city of Petropavlovsk. The company also expressed its intention to invest KZT1.184bn (US$9.89mn) in the city's network until the end of 2009. Petropavlovsk is the sixth city in which Kazakhtelecom's NGN has been rolled out, with services already on offer in the capital, Astana, as well as Almaty, Karaganda, Taraz and Taldygorgon.
